Hello and welcome to the Tuesday Spinners webpage.
We meet on a Tuesday evening between 7.30 and 9.30 at Harston Village Hall. Our meetings are very informal and members bring along their spinning wheels, spindles, knitting or crochet for the evening as well as having a good natter and exchanging hints and tips. If you have an interest in spinning (and knitting) then you are very welcome to come along and see what we are about. If you want to learn to spin, then members are usually happy to give guidance and simple tuition to someone keen to learn.
Each week there is rota for tea duty. One member brings 'the basket' containing tea bags, sugar etc. and will need to provide a pint of fresh milk and some biscuits/cakes etc. It is only necessary to buy a packet of hob-nobs but many members like to exercise their baking skills and bring something homemade. Check out our cakes page for some favorite receipes.
Often members also have spinning days and spinning evenings at each others homes. There is an e-mail list for the spinning group which is how members are notified of the relevant dates and locations. Click on this link if you want to subscribe to the list.
