Pembrokeshire holiday, 7-14 September 2008

in front of house

We stayed in a lovely house in Marloes, close to the Pembrokeshire coast with Phil, Andrew and Rosie. You can see other pictures from our holiday on Phil and Andrew's webpage here.

in garden
There were lovely views over farmland from the garden.

Rosie liked looking at the view too.

family picnic
On Monday we all went for a walk along the coastal path. Here is Andrew, Phil, Rosie, Charlie and Tim enjoying a picnic on our walk.
view over musselwick
Charlie liked looking at the water flowing in the stream, which runs down to Musselwick Sands.
Musselwick
This is the view looking back to Musselwick Sands, we walked along the headland and then back to the house.
boats
On Tuesday Tim, El and Charlie went to Milford Haven. Charlie loved looking at the boats and the 'windmills' spinning round on the boats.
Windy walk
On Tuesday afternoon we went on a very windy walk round St Martn's Head, with lovely views to Skomer Island. Charlie is wearing his hat to protect his ears from the wind!!
walking back
Tim carrying Charlie back down to the car park.

Solva Estuary
On Wednesday we stopped off at Solva and looked at the (very windy!) view down the estuary.
St Davids
Afterwards we visited St Davids and Charlie had lots of fun exploring the Cathedral. This is the view looking down after we pushed Charlie up the hill!
tractors
On Thursday we went to Folly Farm (Phil, Andrew and Rosie also came). Charlie loved riding on the tractors.

Even in the rain, Charlie and El enjoyed playing in the sandpit!!

rocky cliff
On Friday we went on a walk around the headland near Dale before having lunch in the local pub. Here is a view of some rocks.
waves
And here is a beautiful view of the waves crashing over the rocks. Charlie enjoyed pointing out the 'rocks' 'sea' and 'boats'
.
El
Because El was 23 weeks pregnant, she was allowed to get away with carrying the small rucksack. Poor old Tim got to carry all 12kg of Charlie in the back pack!
sun rise
On Saturday morning there was a lovely sun rise. Here is the view from our bedroom window (you can see the refinery).

on the beach
On Saturday afternoon we went to Broadhaven to play on the beach. Charlie loved splashing in the sea with Mummy.

And playing in the sea with Daddy.
playing in the sand
Charlie also liked digging in the sand, although the sea eventually washed his sand castles away.

On Saturday evening Tim went off to see the sun set over Skomer Island.
