18 July - Lynsey's party

It was Mummy's friend Lynsey's birthday party this afternoon. We went in the afternoon and there were fish and chips for supper and lots of puddings. There was a big marquee (left over from her daughter's wedding the day before) and a band playing music. Millie and Charlie had fun dancing and loved hiding in the marquee.

17 July - Trip to Colchester Zoo

We went on a trip with lots of other people who work with Daddy. We had a second breakfast when we got to the zoo and then we all watched the animal show. The red parrots were best and Charlie stroked 'Custard' the snake. We enjoyed looking at all the animals (especially the penguins, white tiger, and elephants). Millie can now fairly confidently climb a ladder and had fun climbing up to the top of the curley slide. Charlie had fun climbing in the play parks too.

13 July - Rosie and Jonas over to play

Our cousins came over to play in the afternoon. Jonas had a little nap. When Phil asked where he was sleeping (expecting Millie to say "basket"), Charlie said: "in an oak swill", which of course was correct!!! Rosie bought her face paints to play with and we looked at ourselves in the mirror (Charlie is a pink cat and Rosie is Princess Fiona from Shrek).

11 July 2010 - lunch at Granny and Grandad's

We had a lovely day at Granny and Grandad's house and enjoyed the sunshine while playing at the park and in the garden. Grandad showed us how to pick raspberries and eat nastursiam flowers.

18 to 25 June 2010 - Holiday in Sheringham, North Norfolk Coast.

We stayed in a cottage in the heart of Sheringham for a week. We stopped at West Stow Anglo Saxon village on the way up. The first few days were very windy and cold so we explored the gardens of Sheringham Park and Daddy bought us a kite to fly. We explored Sheringham and went to the beach in our waterproofs and played in the park (we went there nearly every day).

We visted Felbrigg Hall and enjoyed the willow tunnel in the garden. The weather got lovely and warm by the middle of the week and we went to Wells-next-the-Sea for a lovely day on the beach and some splashing in the boat channel (the sea was miles away). We managed to fly our kite really well and both got a go holding the string.

We eventiually had a sunny day on Sheringham beach but forgot to take pictures! On the last day we went on a boat trip to Blakeney Point and saw seals, terns, oystercatchers and gulls. Daddy took some nice pictues of sunsets too.
