"Hello and Welcome
to my webpage!"

My name is Charles Clapp and I live with my Mummy and
Daddy in Sawston, near Cambridge. This is my news and pictures webpage
designed for friends and family so they know what I have been getting up to. I
love tractors; animals; 'helping' Mummy; running and smiling lots. Here
I am in the 'bus' Mummy made for me; Teddy is driving.

Trip to Thetford Forest - 9 November 2009
As the weather was
lovely and sunny, we went on a trip to the woods. I looked out for
bears but didn't see any. I asked Mummy if we'd see a teddy bears
picnic and she said we might do if we looked carefully. However, I had
my picnic with Mummy and Daddy. I then played with sticks and mud and
then on the swings and slide in the woods.

Visit to Granny and Grandad
We went to visit Granny and Grandad
today as we had a free day and Mummy felt like a trip out. We went to
look at all the Christmas decorations and lights at Poplar Nursaries
and I found a little train to ride in. After lunch we read some books
and I played posting coins into the wooden hippo.

Playing with Rosie, Phil and Claudia - 1 November
I
went to play at Phil and Rosie's house today and Claudia came over to
play too. Mummy was off teaching basket making and Daddy went to play
hockey, so I had my lunch and afternoon nap at Rosie's house too. I had
lots of fun. See more pictures on Rosie's website.

Halloween - 2008
We have been getting ready for Halloween. On
Monday Mummy and I bought a pumpkin and we carved a face in
it. Here I am chatting to the Pumpkin. On Tuesday I went to a
party at Madeline and Tess's house. Rosie and Phil were also there. I
dressed up as a devil and Mummy made some horns for me and a spare set
for herself. I have also been enjoying eating pumpkin pudding, which I
helped make with the pumpkin from the pumpkin head.

Ongoing News
Mummy has been very bad at remembering to bring
the camera with us when we go out so there are no pictures but I have
been out and about quite a bit.
On Sunday 19 October Daddy,
Mummy and I went and had a picnic at Anglesey Abbey and we played in
the autumn leaves. I had lots of fun running up and down the hills and
tumbling over!!
On Monday 20 October Mummy and I went to visit
Claudia for the day and we went out for lunch. I enjoyed looking at all
the spiders in her house and playing with stikle bricks, but her cat
was rather shy. The time just flew, so we left a bit late and I got a
little grumpy on the way home before falling asleep.
On Saturday 25
October we went to watch Daddy playing hockey. We saw him score two
goals and I clapped and ran about. However, he got hit on the nose and
it bled. We went to have lunch with Phil, Rosie and Andrew while Daddy
showered and had his hockey tea.A Sunny Day - 11 October 2008
I am now one and a half years old
and can say lots of words and enjoy talking lots. As it was a
lovely sunny day we had a picnic in the garden for lunch. In the
afternoon I helped Mummy make pumpkin pie. Here I am making little
pastry blobs and telling Daddy to fetch me somthing.

Visit to Linton Zoo - 3 October 2008
 |
We went to
visit Linton Zoo with
Granny Susan, Grandad Stephen, Phil and Rosie. It was rather rainy,
so many of the animals were hiding but
we did get to see a lion, a zebra, tapiers, lemurs and some big
tortoises. We were quite dry in our waterproofs though.
Granny had prepared a picnic which we had in the warm dry sitting
room at home. Afterwards we all played together for the afternoon and
it was a lovely day. |
Holiday to West Wales - 7-14 September
We went on holiday to pembrokeshire with Rosie and her
family. All
the pictures can be seen on this webpage.
Here I am with Mummy looking at boats at Milford Haven. I had a really
good week and enjoyed myself a lot, although we all ended up with colds
at the end of the holiday!!
Trip to Hospital to see new baby - 29 August
Mummy went for a
scan at the hospital this morning. I played with Auntie Phil and Rosie
while Daddy went in with Mummy. They came out with these
pictures
of the little baby in Mummy's tummy. I am not too sure what it is all
about though, but I know they are pictures of a baby.
Visit to Granny and Grandad - 24 to 26 August
We stayed at
Granny and Grandad's house for a few days. The weather was lovely, so
we spent some time playing on their 'grown-up' swing in the garden. On
Monday we went to visit Thomas and his friends at the Chapel and Wakes
Colne railway museum. We rode on carriages pulled by Toby and Thomas
and rode in the troublesome trucks. I also went on a mini train with
Daddy. I enjoyed watching the trains puffing by. I learnt the word
'smoke' to go with the words 'train', 'bus' and 'tractor', which I used
a lot that day.
Visit to Nanny and Grandad - 7 to 10 August
On Thursday
morning Daddy came with us to my baby signing class and afterwards we
fed the ducks in Histon. We then went to Nanny and Grandad's house. On
Friday morning Daddy's cousin Sarah and her baby Flynn (plus Joy and
Pam but they aren't in the picture) came to visit us. I was very good
at sharing my toys and Joy bought me some chocolate buttons! I also had
lots of fun feeding the horses in the field opposite Nanny's house. On
Saturday afternoon Mummy, Daddy, Grandad and I went to visit Baddesley
Clinton. We strolled in the garden and saw some sheep, before looking
round the house and having tea. When we got back, Daddy and I sat on
the Grandad's digger. I am also learning new words and can say: Towel,
Owl, Hole, Pole, Apple, Peepo, Down, Yeah, Bubble, Boat, Toe, and Hat.
I also have my own words for: Banana (Baaba) and Horse (Hor) - both of
which have been used a lot this weekend.

Mill Green Spinning Day - 6 August
We went to Mill
Green Mill in Welwyn for a spinning day. Mummy did some spinning and
taught some children how to spin. There were lots of her spinning chums
there. I took along my new toy lawn mower and played in the garden area
where Mummy was spinning. We also looked at the water wheel and milling
machinery, but it was a bit big and noisy so I made Mummy carry me
inside. Here is me exploring a woolly woven thing, and playing in the
garden.
Bedroom - 3 August 2008
Mummy and Daddy have
been busy all week re-organising and painting the room next to mine.
Mummy spent most of yesterday painting hills, clouds, leaves
and
the sun. This morning when I got up, it was all finished off and looked
really good. This is going to be my playroom for the next few weeks and
then I will be moving into there as my new bedroom (although I will be
staying my my cot for a little while yet). I had fun pointing out all
the buses, cars, diggers and trucks around the room. Here is me playing
in the room this afternoon.
