6 February - Making another snowman

After making a small snowman on Monday, we have watched it melt slowly over the week but this morning we had lots more snow so Mummy and I went outside to make another snowman. Here I am with the snowman watching the large snow flakes coming down.

31 January - Trip to Wimpole Home Farm

We had a day out to Wimpole Home Farm and met Phil, Andrew and Rosie and their friends Chris and Mario who were also there for a visit. Here I am riding on a horse with Daddy; driving through muddy puddles with Mummy; riding on tractors with Rosie and Phil; jumping off a straw bale into Daddy's arms; and all of us in the hay barn. Afterwards we all had lunch together and I got lots of custard down me!! More pictures can be found on Rosie's website.

27 January - Visit from Phil and Rosie

Phil and Rosie came over for lunch and we played decorating biscuits after lunch. Rosie also played 'being baby Millie' and I played 'being carried upside down'.

25 January - Visit from Claudia

Auntie Claudia came over to play and stayed for lunch. Here we all are on the sofa. Claudia seemed to like giving Millie cuddles as almost as much as playing with me!

10 January - A quiet day counting words.

As it has been a quiet day, Mummy and Daddy thought they would try and count how many words I know. After a few hours of trying to list them they got bored and counted 630 (apparently I am suppoosed to know 200 words by the time I am three!). I can also make quite long sentances like:

"Great Tit sit on seed feeder"
"pour water in red funnel, yellow water wheel go round"
"Charlie press yellow rectangle button in car"
I apologise for the blatent 'my child is brilliant' showing off in the above entry, but we are proud of Charlie and love having a chatty child - El and Tim

5 January 2009 - Snow!!!

This morning I woke up and it was snowing. I went out with Daddy and watched the bin lorry emptying the bins which was great. Then we built a snow man in the garden. Here I am patting more snow on his head, but a little bit too hard, Daddy repaired the snow man and here we are with the finished snow man.

2 January 2009 - Baby sister arrived.

I am now officially a big brother. My sister Millie arrived today. Here is a picture of all of us. I have got lots of nice presents for being a big brother. Here I am playing with my new truck, and having a nice cuddle with Mummy.

27 December 2008 - Back Home

Auntie Claudia came over to stay and bought me the biggest Christmas present ever. It was a little red car, which Daddy had to assemble. I helped him with my tool set and when it was done, Auntie Claudia showed me how to keep my car in full working order! I also played with the paints I got from John and Ruth for Christmas, because Mummy said I had to wait until I got home and had my messy play bib before playing with them. Here I am painting with some potato shapes and my new paintbrush.

Christmas 2008

We went to Nanny and Grandad's house for Christmas. I hung my stocking up on Christmas Eve and hoped that Santa would come and fill it with presents. On Christmas morning I came downstairs in my pajamas with Mummy and Daddy and opened my stocking. There was a Noah's ark, a car, an orange and some chocolates inside. Here I am eating a chocolate - Yummy!

Later in the morning the whole family opened the presents under the Christmas tree. Here you can see the huge pile of presents for everyone; I was also busy entertaining Nanny, Grandad and Tony while they opened their presents; I got lots of toys to play with and books to read, which I wanted to read right away!!

While I had my nap, Penny and helpers made Christmas dinner. We all sat down to a lovely family meal in the early evening and I liked the carrots, sprouts and cranberry sauce the best!!

15/16 December 2008 - Christmas Parties

I went to the Ragged Rascals Christmas party on Monday. I ususally play on all the soft play equipment each Monday at Ragged Rascals but this week there was lots of party food, some games and Santa came to visit. I was a bit shy of Santa but I did say 'Thank you" for my present. I ate lots of food and chocolate and had a good time. On Tuesday I went to the Kreepy Krawlies Christmas party and Rosie and my friend Alex were also there. This is another soft play session, but I don't normally go so it was a fun change. Phil took some pictures of me playing with Rosie and meeting Santa again. I was still a bit shy but I was keen to go up and get my present!!

14 December 2008

I am learning to say lots of words and sentances - too many to list here. I have said the following this morning:

"Yellow star on top green Christmas tree"
"Reindeer, snowman, horse, mouse on Christmas tree"
"Charlie got Daddy['s] dalek" (Tim has been given a knitted darlek by a friend).
"Blue tit check out bird box"  (after Mummy had just said this)
"Charlie sit [on] orange sofa"

Here are some pictures of me playing with the Christmas mouse and dalek;  flopping on the sofa, and being a cowboy in my hat:

Granny's Birthday - 5 December 2009

This morning Rosie, Phil, Mummy and I went over to visit Granny as a surprise because it was her birthday. We decorated the birthday cake that Mummy made before we left and Phil had made some party food. Here is Rosie and me eating our picnic birthday lunch. Here I am reading the spider book at Granny's house. A few days ago Daddy also took a nice picture of me reading my 'Elephant Wellyphant' library book, which I think is great. On the 6th December I played with Daddy and Grandad at Cheeky Monkey's play barn, while Mummy and Granny went off spinning. Here I am being pushed round by Grandad on a little tractor.
