Hertfordshire Basketry

My interest is in the use
of natural
woven
materials, particularly willow (living and non-living) in combination
with various metals and I like to use a contemporary approach to
basketry. I make sculptural structures for gardens and garden related
environments, often incorporating planted material within the
structure. I make both large and small-scale works, from contemporary
walk-through structures to containerised living sculpture and
freestanding works.
I am primarily an Applied Artist (BA Hons) and have
been using
basket-making techniques within my work for the last two years. I
accept commissions, lead living willow workshops for schools,
community groups, corporate and private clients.
