I mainly make baskets using willow and rush, but enjoy trying new techniques and materials. I have been making baskets for nearly ten years, initially just as a hobby. I have learnt a lot of diffrerent techniques from various short courses, workshops, and from working with the basketmakers while participating in the Tudor recreations at Kentwell Hall in Suffolk. However, I have been making baskets as a business for a few years now and can be found making baskets at the Medieval Oyster Fayre at Colchester each year.
