The Guild will be demonstrating at Hatfield Living Crafts on the 10th to the 13th of May 2007. The Guild's members have demonstrated their crafts at this event for numerous years. The Guild will have members there each day giving demonstrations of spinning, carding and weaving. We usually answer lots of questions about spinning and related crafts and joining the guild. We are also happy to teach people to spin during the event, if time allows.
The Guild will be demonstrating at the Herts County Show on the 26th and 27th May 2007. The Guild has taken part in a 'Sheep to Garment' demonstration in previous years, but will be simply demonstrating at this year's show. We usually have a display of a variety of different hand spun and woven items, as well as a demonstration of weaving on a table loom and a 'guess the fibre' competition. Come and see us at the Hatfield House Country Show on the 17, to 19 August 2007. We will be in the sheep tent demonstrating our various crafts (spinning, tapestry weaving, rug making etc.) and will be only too happy to talk to anyone who is interested to see how wool is spun or possibly joining the Guild and taking spinning, weaving or dying up as a hobby.
